"Sometimes, flying feels too God-like to be attained by man. Sometimes, the world from above seems too beautiful, too wonderful, too distant for human eyes to see."

- Charles A. Lindbergh

Mission Statement

The Aviation Foundation  501(c)3

The Aviation Foundation's mission is to further the public appreciation and understanding of the past, present, and future of aviation, with a special emphasis on Western Pennsylvania. Established exclusively for charitable, scientific, and educational purposes, we realize the need to keep pace with the rapid aeronautical developments while working to inspire and share that knowledge.

As a 501©3 publicly funded charity, The Aviation Foundation relies on public contributions to continue funding aerospace-related activities and education. TAF funds programs, including scholarships for needy aviation students. Your contribution will help to train our future pilots, airframe and powerplant technicians, air traffic controllers, meteorologists, aeronautical engineers, and more. Our programs also work to increase aviation awareness and enthusiasm at the junior and senior high school levels.

Support The Aviation Foundation with volunteer work, donations, program partnerships.
