About
TAF Awards
Scholarship Awards for flight training, aircraft and powerplant technician, air traffic controller, meteorology, engineering, and more.
“The single award helped launch a lifelong aviation career, (over 26 years and counting), spanning flight instruction, charter pilot, airline pilot and air traffic control tower chief.”
Rob Ross III
1999 Awardee
“Whose first flight instructor ignited his passion for aviation … I fought the FAA for months for my medical certificate, as I never thought a one-eyed person could become a pilot! … And now as school administrator for Laurel Highlands Aeronautical Academy … I have come full circle … and measure success … in teaching young people to fly hand-flown aircraft in old school ways, helping them to build lifetime careers.”
James Arnold
2002 Awardee
